One of the online art groups I belong to (
Paper Digital Art and Images) has an Alphabet challenge posted. Whereby we are to create pieces of art in any medium we choose representing each of the different letters of the alphabet. For this month we were to do A,B, and C. I decided to do fabric collages that will eventually be put into a fabric book. I chose Angel for A, Birds for B and Chocolate for C.
Oh, these are beautiful, cannot wait to see the next pages.

A big Thank-you for the wonderful surprise I received in the mail. What a gorgeous art piece to have in my collection. And thank-you too for the lovely metal charms, I will enjoy adding into my own creations.
I am so inspired by your lovely fabric collages that I plan to take some time very soon to make up some vintage fabric lots to sell in my store and I plan to send you a sampler pack of some of the fabrics as I cut them up.
Let me know what is a good size to send you.

These three pages are absolutely gorgeous. You picked beautiful words and interpreted them exquisitely. I can't wait to see the next ones.
ReplyDeleteHi Robin - what a great project! I'm in love with textures and these pages are fantastic! I love the book idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping at my blog. To answer your question about the feet on my "You Inspire" Scrabble tile project, I used unfinished wood end caps from Michaels (painted black). They are originally made to finish the ends of dowel rods, I think.
I look forward to the rest of your alphabet book!
Cheers,
Susan
How wonderful--I'm sorry I haven't visited in awhile--your fabric collages are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin, It was a fun item to put together. Love your ABC book, that gives me lots of ideas. Have a wonderful Sunday. Smiles, Carol Mae
ReplyDeleteImmense talent on display here and the most stunning of textiles. You must have the most wonderful collection of textiles.
ReplyDeleteThey are all quite magnificent but my eye is drawn to B, possibly because of the pink tones.

Lynne

Robin, your fabric collages are gorgeous and inspire me to want to try making some! I'm working on a vintage-style scrapbook for my maternal grandparents and hope to include some fabric embellishments since my 'Grandma Dean' loved to sew. :)
