Fabric Collage and Zipper Flower

Wanting a perfect place to keep my smartphone, I created a fabric collage on a small muslin bag. Also, I recently found an industrial size roll of white zipper trim at a Thrift store for a steal. I've been wanting to try creating a zipper flower and have seen them everywhere on the internet, so this is the first one I came up with. I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the zipper to give it a pink color and then used Fabri-Tac glue to assemble the flower. Thanks for stopping by my nest and have a great day!

  4. Hi Robin
The muslin pouch is such a fabulous idea and love your creation, is the image a family heritage photographs?
As for your zipper flower, they may be all over the net but you added your own twist by dying the zipper. Isn't it so therapeutic making your own flowers? Yesterday I sat and made a bunch using chocolate brown satin ribbon and some beads.
It is so good to see you creating art and posting on your blog.

  6. Both of these are just fabulous! Good for you that I am not a fan of pink or I would have made off with that flower. Guess I'll just have to make my own and can thanks to your generosity. It was nice of you to share your zipper stash with me!
