Altered Jigsaw Puzzle Piece at 2cre8art

I found a really neat blog that has great detailed step-by-step instructions for each of their monthly challenges. This really helps me a lot when I'm trying something new!! Anyway, at the beginning of the month they post the tutorial in a pdf format (great for downloading and saving). For the month of March the challenge was to create an altered jigsaw puzzle piece. This was my first attempt at it and I didn't quite know where it would take me but once I got the stamping done I was quite pleased with the results. If you would like some great information or to participate in their challenges, check out their blog 2cre8art. Thanks for stopping by my nest!

What a clever thing to do to a puzzle piece. I guess, really, you can pretty much "alter" any ol' thing! Cool!

Robin,
Thank you for coming by for a visit. =0)

Who would ever think of making something out of a puzzle piece?
Well, one of us creative types obviously!
That was very interesting, and you did a wonderful job. Who would even notice what it was if you did not say.

Keep yup the great work.

Blessings,
Barbara Jean

That is so cool. I really like the color, it looks like metal. I'll have to check out the blog, thank you for sharing Robin. I agree you should make a brooch out of it.

Robin, this is amazing! You've captured the colors of the sea in your puzzle piece, and your embellishments are fantastic!

Yay! Finally something I have done! When I was leading a girl scout troop a few years ago. I had a mom who came in and we did this and made pins and pendants with our pieces. They were beautiful and I had never seen the girls feel so proud of themselves. Yours of course is so beautiful.Way better than anything a grade schooler could do but they did surprise me with all the effort they put in their work.
