Fabric Mini Book

So inspired by Judy's adorable fabric mini journal, I decided to give this a try. Mind you, I don't sew much...ask my hubby who sews his own buttons. So....I didn't sew anything I just glued everything! I have to give a shout out to the folks at UHU who sent me a sample a few months ago of their Twist and Glue. This stuff is fantastic and this entire piece was glued using the twist and glue! I also added vintage French text pages to the inside front and back covers to finish it nicely. I think I need more practice and will have to make a few more before I get this technique down....who knows I might even break out the sewing machine:) Thanks for stopping by my nest!

It looks great! I sew but I find it a hassle to drag out my machine for a little bit of sewing, so I am always trying to find the way around it too. Have a great day. Cheers!

Great choice of fabrics! I think gingham has such a nice vintage look and you combined it nicely with the stripes on the back cover. One of these days I'll have to try one of these mini journals. They are so cute!

Robin, I'm with you -- to me sewing is housework, not crafting!
Like that you were able to work with fabric and not have to sew to create your album. I do like the gingham. Great album!

It is wonderful! LOVE the black/white fabric and that bit of lace. OK, when you get to a point where you feel comfortable...you should teach me! LOL. No, Seriously! :D

This journal is really beautiful Robin, so glad you tried it :) I wouldn't worry about the sewing, just try it, I don't think it is supposed to look perfect anyway, that is the charm of it :)

Robin, You did a wonderful job, the book is darling and I think I might be able to do that, especially if I can glue it.

Beautiful! If you're anything like me, my sewing machine is too covered with stuff to get it out - bravo to the glue!
